Week 19-20 (I Think)

We were "Heart Attacked!"

Hello Everyone!

Time as usual is going fast! Sorry, I was so busy last week that I didn't have time to write. Hopefully this letter will catch you up!

Tomorrow is the third week of the Emotional Resilience class we are facilitating.  We had eleven people the first time and 9 the second lesson. Hopefully tomorrow we will have 11 again.  The person we really started this class for has only come for part of a lesson. She ended up leaving before the class was over. I was talking about this with my companion Sis. Sharp. We kind of decided that even though we started the class for a specific person, the others that are coming are still benefiting from it. So maybe it is good we started it even if the main person we started it for hasn't been there. We have really felt the spirit with us as we facilitate this class. I'm sure the class has also.

We are blessed to be living in the home we are living in. We painted so much of it that it really seems like "our home". We are hoping this home will bless others too. We have had several people over for Sunday dinner. We are trying to get to know the members better as well as some of the 'friends" of the younger missionaries. Last week the younger missionaries had a gas leak in their apartment. They had. to find another place to stay for the night. Of course our house was the first place they thought of. We have 2 extra bedrooms and 5 extra beds. So the young sisters were welcomed here for the night. It was nice to have them around. These dear sisters are the ones who "Heart attacked" our door on Mother's day!

We have many little cities in our branch boundary. We have the largest area in the KWM. Last week we chose Falls City, Nebraska. We tried to visit every member in this town. We have done pretty well.  Most of our less active members were not very receptive. We have a handout that we made to give them that has a quote from President Holland's last conference talk. It's the part that says "I bear witness that when Christ comes, He needs to recognize us _ not as nominal members listed on a faded baptisimal record but as thoroughly committed, faithfully believing, covenant-keeping disciples. This is an urgent matter for all of us, lest we ever hear with devastating regret: I never knew you, or, as Joseph Smith translated that phrase, "You never knew me". We are hoping that this will wake them up and come back to church. Not to just come back to church but to come back and develop a lasting relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. Only through a relationship with Christ can we have joy in this life and have eternal life in the life to come. How sad it will be if they some day have that "devastating regret"!

I was listening to a YouTube video the other day. Someone had put together all of the talks that President Nelson had given since he became prophet. It was very interesting. I will include a picture of some of these phrases. It really got me thinking that the Second Coming of the Lord is near. It is much closer than some people think. I have been paying particular attention to the scriptures that tell about the last days. They are so interesting. If we don't read them we won't know what to expect or how to prepare for them both spiritually and temporally. I just want to bear my testimony that I know the Savior's second coming is near. Our prophet has been warning us how near it is and that we need to be a people prepared to welcome him when he comes. I can hardly imagine how that would be. The time is near. Be prepared.

Love,
Sister Tuha
