Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and good! I, as usual have been busy! It seems that way here. I am grateful that we always have more to do than what we can get done. This week will be a very busy week since we have Zone Conference in Salina, which is almost 3 hours away, on Wednesday and our regular District Correlation Meeting (DMC) on Thursday in Topeka, an hour and about 20 minutes away. So these meetings take the most of two days! That's okay because they are usually REALLY GOOD meetings! I think I told you about our 21 Day Challenge. Well, if not, it is where we select several names of less active members of our branch and pray for them for 21 days straight, morning and night, fast at least one time, and then invite them to church. We also do other things to contact them during the 21 days. Anyway, the Lord blessed a couple of these people we have been praying for. Two of them came to church and one was baptized. The Lord does hear our prayers and can touch the hearts of...

My companion Sister Sharp and me at the Kansas City Temple Hello Everyone! We are staying just as busy as ever! there is a never ending list of people we need to go visit. We have been trying to update our original list to the one just printed. There are some people who have moved but more that have moved in but are not attending church. So, when we were just thinking that we had visited just about everyone at least once, we find out there are more to visit. We are trying a 21 day challenge that my companion's daughter sent her. It was promised to her ward (I think) that if they got a list of 20 or so people that were less active or were friends and prayed for them for 21 days, fasted at least once, attended the temple that within these 21 days at least one of these people would either come back to the church or would get baptized. So far we are on day 13. We can already see the blessings some of these people are getting. Today there were 3 people on our list that actua...

My companion Sister Sharp and our friend Sister Ward serving in Concordia, Kansas. Hello Everyone! How are you all doing? I'm doing well here in Kansas! Things are going well! We have been visiting less active members since I got here in Hiawatha. We are taking one town at a time. I'm not sure how many towns we cover, but it is around 20 I think. anyway it seems as soon as we think we have visited everyone (less active) in one town another one shows up. We have worked in Falls City, Nebraska several different times. We now have names of a couple more people to visit in Falls City. My companion was asked to speak in church last Sunday. She was asked to speak on 'ministering'. She gave a very touching talk. She referenced Joy Jones' talk on ministering. She was saying that wouldn't it be nice if we ministered to the people we are assigned because we love Jesus Christ? We don't have to love the people we minister to, but we should minister to them because we ...

We were "Heart Attacked!" Hello Everyone! Time as usual is going fast! Sorry, I was so busy last week that I didn't have time to write. Hopefully this letter will catch you up! Tomorrow is the third week of the Emotional Resilience class we are facilitating. We had eleven people the first time and 9 the second lesson. Hopefully tomorrow we will have 11 again. The person we really started this class for has only come for part of a lesson. She ended up leaving before the class was over. I was talking about this with my companion Sis. Sharp. We kind of decided that even though we started the class for a specific person, the others that are coming are still benefiting from it. So maybe it is good we started it even if the main person we started it for hasn't been there. We have really felt the spirit with us as we facilitate this class. I'm sure the class has also. We are blessed to be living in the home we are living in. We painted so much o...

Sister Rollins, me, Sister Sharp , my companion, and Sister Durrant. . These are the young sisters we serve with in Hiawatha. The picture is at the Winter Quarters Temple Hello Everyone! How is everything going for you? My companion, Sister Sharp and I are keeping ourselves quite busy. It seems we always have people to visit and places to go. Speaking of going, we were able to take the younger sisters with us to the Winter Quarters Temple in Omaha, Nebraska this last week. It's about a two hour drive from our house. It is a smaller temple but just as beautiful as all the rest. It's always so wonderful to get to go to the temple. We've been told to look for miracles and we've had a few. We went to Falls City, Nebraska this last week to an inactive sister's house. Her birthday was coming up, so we wanted to give her a card, wish her a happy birthday and ask some questions for our RS spotlight. We went to the address that was on Tools. The man that came to the do...

Hi Everyone! There has been some exciting weather here the last few days. We had to go to our tornado shelter about three times this last weekend. Our shelter is in our basement so we don't have to go far. It has been kind of nice to get to know the younger sister missionaries since our shelter is also their shelter. Just as I'm writing this email I just got notification of another tornado watch! This is tornado season. I have been through it many times before when I lived in Texas. This last week we have been busy as usual. On Tuesday we went to the assisted living center as usual. The ladies we usually visit were sick so we just had a prayer with them and then left. We were supposed to read scriptures with a lady in our branch, but she was sick also. She wanted us to bring her some chicken soup. We had another sister, Sister Waterson, that had just gotten home from the hospital and wanted to know if we could bring her family dinner. We go...
