Week 30

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! I'm doing great. We have been very busy as usual. We were able to visit a few less active members that we were not able to find home before, which is great. The two women we found were very friendly! There is hope that someday they will come back to our branch. We have also found out that 3 of the families we had been trying to visit had moved and are no longer in our branch. This is always nice to find out so their records can be passed along to where they need to be. One of these sisters had lived way out of town. When we got to her house we saw a very old house that could really use a paint job. (not from us though haha). It was fenced and inside the fence were about 5 dogs. (Everyone in Kansas has dogs it seems). We are pretty leary of going where there are dogs! Many of these dogs are not friendly! Anyway, we got out of the car and we saw a man mowing the lawn. The dogs were barking like crazy and he couldn't hear us talkin...

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! I've had a bit of a cold the last few days, but it has not kept me down! We have had some great results with our 21 day Challenge. We are so grateful for the Lord answering our prayers! Last week we had 8 of the less active members on our list attend church! We are so grateful for these members and their attendance at church again.  It's been quite awhile for several of them! It is our hope that they will be touched by the spirit and continue in their journey back into the fold. President Nelson has asked us to "find the one"! If we can find one, we can find many... We are on the last part of the house we are living in to be painted! The laundry room and the stairs to the basement. One side of the laundry room is done and we are waiting until we can move the dryer, washer etc. back so that we can do the other side.  It shouldn't take long. We have the stairs all sanded and are waiting until a less busy time to paint...

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing? I'm doing great and loving what i'm doing! This past Sunday we were able to teach the Teacher Counsel lesson on Diligent learning. It seemed like everyone was engaged and hopefully learned something. One of the things I presented was something that I had heard in a BYU Devotional talk. He had talked about repentance. This is the quote that I used from his talk. "Everytime we turn more to Christ, we are repenting.....When we sincerely pray to the Father, in a very real sense we are repenting. When we read the scriptures and ponder them, we are repenting. As we make changes because of what we are learning about Christ and His gospel, we are repenting." Elder Weaatherford Clayton I really liked this quote! President Nelson has asked us to repent daily. I know he wouldn't ask us to do something he isn't already doing. But what has he done to repent for? This quote made it clear that anytime we are turning towards God and i...
