| My companion Sister Sharp and me at the Kansas City Temple |
Hello Everyone!
We are staying just as busy as ever! there is a never ending list of people we need to go visit. We have been trying to update our original list to the one just printed. There are some people who have moved but more that have moved in but are not attending church. So, when we were just thinking that we had visited just about everyone at least once, we find out there are more to visit.
We are trying a 21 day challenge that my companion's daughter sent her. It was promised to her ward (I think) that if they got a list of 20 or so people that were less active or were friends and prayed for them for 21 days, fasted at least once, attended the temple that within these 21 days at least one of these people would either come back to the church or would get baptized. So far we are on day 13. We can already see the blessings some of these people are getting. Today there were 3 people on our list that actually came to church! Two of them for the first time in a very long time! We were thrilled to see how the Lord works on their behalf. I'll update you after our 21 days are up.
Another thing that we have been doing is what our Mission President asked us to do. He asked us to list at least 5 things per day that we can see the hand of the Lord in our lives, where he has intervened on our behalf. It is amazing! We did this for a week as we were asked and have decided to continue doing it throughout the rest of our missions. We have been so blessed and can see every day the Lord's intervention in our lives to help not only us, but to those we are trying to help. It's almost mind boggling how much the Lord is doing for us everyday! We hadn't realized it until we started writing down 5 things each day.
We were blessed to be able to go to the temple last Friday. We are always so thankful when we get to go. The session was wonderful as usual but this time we also did initiatories. The temple is such a beautiful, peaceful place to go and feel the spirit of our Heavenly Father.
That's all for this week! I didn't get many pictures taken, but here are a couple.
Love,
SisterTuha
