Week 25

 Hello Everyone!

I hope you are well and good! I, as usual have been busy! It seems that way here. I am grateful that we always have more to do than what we can get done. This week will be a very busy week since we have Zone Conference in Salina, which is almost 3 hours away, on Wednesday and our regular District Correlation Meeting (DMC) on Thursday in Topeka, an hour and about 20 minutes away. So these meetings take the most of two days! That's okay because they are usually REALLY GOOD meetings!

I think I told you about our 21 Day Challenge. Well, if not, it is where we select several names of less active members of our branch and pray for them for 21 days straight, morning and night, fast at least one time, and then invite them to church. We also do other things to contact them during the 21 days. Anyway, the Lord blessed a couple of these people we have been praying for. Two of them came to church and one was baptized. The Lord does hear our prayers and can touch the hearts of those we can't seem to touch. We have just started on another 21 day challenge!
It's amazing how the Lord works!

We were asked several weeks ago by our mission president to write 5 things each day for a week that we had seen the hand of the Lord in our lives. After that week was finished, we kept writing the 5 things everyday since. One day I especially remember was a day when a lady in our branch had asked us for a ride. We gave her a ride and she mentioned thet one of my headlights was out. I thanked her for telling me and kind of forgot about it for several days. I eventually got a replacement, and since I had watched my sons, at 3 different times, to put in a new bulb, I figured I could do it myself. So I got my screwdriver and light and went to my car. I got the hood up and looked where the light was. I could see the wires that went to the light. I didn't know if they pulled out or how to get them undone. I had the idea to call Walmart and see how much they charged for changing a headlight. They said $10. T o me that was a no brainer, Walmart would change my light. So I went right over. They changed the one light I had told them about and then they said that the other one was not working either. They ended up replacing the two headlights. I was very happy it didn't cost very much.

We had made an appointment to see a couple in our branch the day after my lights were fixed. They have a 45 minute drive to church on Sundays, so we had a 45 minute drive to their house. We got there about 7:00in the evening. We had a very good visit. In fact we enjoyed our visit so much we didn't leave until about 9:00. When we left it was raining. not rain like a hard Utah rain, but like it was raining buckets! My wipers were going as fast as they could and were barely able to keep up with the rain. It was also dark out by this time. I was driving and could hardly see the road! It took us much longer to get home than it had taken us to get there. Thank goodness I had just gotten my lights fixed the day before! I know the Lord was protecting us and watching out for us that night.

Some days we get more than 5 times where we have seen the hand of the Lord in our day. When we constantly have His spirit with us we can really see how much and how often he is intervening in our lives. If we aren't watching or taking note, we will miss some of the ways he is with us every day. I'd like to invite you to evaluate your day, today and every day so that you can see/feel the Lord intervening in your daily life. These are miracles. Live worthy of these miracles!

Love,
SIster Tuha
