Week 26

 Hello Everybody!

How are you all doing? I'm doing great and loving what i'm doing! This past Sunday we were able to teach the Teacher Counsel lesson on Diligent learning. It seemed like everyone was engaged and hopefully learned something. One of the things I presented was something that I had heard in a BYU Devotional talk. He had talked about repentance. This is the quote that I used from his talk.

"Everytime we turn more to Christ, we are repenting.....When we sincerely pray to the Father, in a very real sense we are repenting. When we read the scriptures and ponder them, we are repenting. As we make changes because of what we are learning about Christ and His gospel, we are repenting." Elder Weaatherford Clayton

I really liked this quote! President Nelson has asked us to repent daily. I know he wouldn't ask us to do something he isn't already doing. But what has he done to repent for? This quote made it clear that anytime we are turning towards God and improving, we are repenting. This was an eye opener to me. It went right along with our class on diligent learning because as a diligent learner, you are coming closer to Christ. Anyway this was something that really stood out to me this past week and I thought that I would pass it along.

Have a great Independence Day July!
Here are some pictures......

My sister sent me a beautiful temple bag. It has the Kansas City Temple embroidered on it as well as my name.

Our Relief Society went to the Kansas City Temple. These are sisters in the Hiawatha
