Hello Everyone!
The weather is crazy here! I guess that it probably is everywhere at this time of year. We have a week of cold weather, lows in the 30"s to Highs in the 50's, with a couple of days in the 80's thrown in. I guess since Kansas is in the middle of the US we get weather from all the other states all at once. Last week there was a freeze warning so we went out to our garden and pulled out all the carrots, picked all the tomatoes, green ones too, and all the peppers, even if they were rather small. Come to find out it didn't freeze after all! We still have tomatoes growing and peppers waiting to come.
Us three senior sisters were asked to train at DCM last week. We were asked to train on the Christ like attribute of love. We showed the video "I Feel My Savior's Love". Here's the link. https://www. churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ video/inspirational-messages/ 2021-05-0010-i-feel-my- saviors-love-1080p?lang=eng It really set the tone for our training. We ended our training with a quote from Jeffrey Holland. It is "And if those children (friends) are unresponsive, maybe you can't teach them yet, but you can love them. And if you love them today, maybe you can teach them tomorrow." It turned out to be a beautiful training. I was very appreciative of my sister, Jana, for responding to my text asking her for a quote I could use. I had one in mind, but I couldn't remember how it went exactly. I texted Jana to see if she knew. She sent me this quote which was even better than the one I had thought about. From one missionary to another THANKS TO JANA FOR THE QUOTE!
We had to do our apartment checks again this last week. My companions were both elementary school teachers and are really into the "cutezy" stuff. Me, not so much, but I try to go along with what they dream up. This time we went as MIB (Men in Black if you remember the movie) only we were the "Missionary Inspection Brigade". We dressed in black etc.
for this inspection. There was at least one missionary in each apartment that had actually seen the movie MIB. We didn't realize that the MIB movie came out when they were so young! If I remember, I'll include a picture of us.

In our companion study this last week we have been studying the miracles of Christ. Our theme for DCM is 'Many Mighty Miracles". We figured that if we studied the miracles that Jesus Christ performed, that we would more appreciate the miracles in our lives. This has been an eye opener! We had all heard of these miracles before but we realized that miracles were performed through many different ways. There were healings, (sick, maimed, blind, etc.), there was multiplying of substances, (loaves and fishes), there was commanding the elements (calming of the sea), raising of the dead, changing substances (water to wine) and many more. Jesus Christ knows higher laws of the universe than we do and knows how to make them work for his best interest in teaching us and helping us. It has been a great study. It's hard to put into words everything I learned and felt during these studies. All I can say is that it was spiritual and enlightening.
The three of us bought fabric and made a quilt for a sister in our branch who had just had a baby. She is inactive but her grandpa is in our branch and asked us to please visit her. We had visited her once before and she was pretty friendly toward us. We hope to visit with her and her family again soon. It's so hard to see these young families who don't come to church and know of all the blessings they are missing out on.
Well, that's all for this email!.
Love,
Sister Tuha
